so maybe your like me and you have a not so good computer running windows and want to squeez as much possible performance out of it. so you try a few things you found on YouTube and while they might help a little bit they aren't giving you the power you want. the one way i found to get more power for applications is getting windows to use less hardware for itself, leaving more hardware open to applications. the way you can do this is by going to your start menu and right clicking on computer, then click on properties... after that window comes up you can click "change settings" right under the logo for the maker of your computer. now go to the "advanced" tab and scroll down to performance. then click on settings. then check the box that says "adjust for best performance" and now your computer should run in a simple graphics mode without aero which will allow more of your hardware to be allocated towards games.
